View south in the future Bredon Hill area around the time of the deposition of the Marlstone Rock Formation.

Shallow sea covers the area with a rich marine fauna, including Icthyosaurs (top predator), Plesiosaurs, belemnites, ammonites, echinoids, crinoids, bivalves, gastopods and bony fish.

Any islands (possibly in the Bristol and Forest of Dean areas of today) would be low relief with (as shown in the inset) lush vegetation consisting of pines, ferns, cycads, monkey puzzle trees.
